Dusty Pages is Closing

After months of prayer, seeking the Lord’s direction, and having some really difficult conversations, I’ve made the decision to close The Dusty Pages Bookshop.

When I opened Dusty Pages, I poured everything I had into it. I built this dream while working multiple jobs, staying up late packing orders, designing products, traveling to events, answering messages, and doing everything I could to create a place that felt like home for book lovers. It was never just about selling books—it was about building a community around stories we all love.

Because of this little bookstore, I’ve met people I never would have met otherwise. I’ve hugged so many of you at signings and events, celebrated new releases together, watched friendships form through a shared love of reading, and experienced opportunities I never could have imagined when I packed that very first order.

Every order, every comment, every share, every recommendation, every event you attended, and every time you chose to shop small instead of somewhere else helped keep this dream alive. I will never be able to thank you enough for believing in me and in Dusty Pages.

As much as I wanted this chapter to continue, I’ve realized that obedience sometimes means letting go of something you deeply love. I don’t believe this is the end of the story—I believe it’s the end of one chapter so another can begin.

The Lord has been stirring something different in my heart for a while now. While I don’t have all the answers yet, I know He’s calling me into a new season. As difficult as it is to close the doors on a dream that has meant so much to me, I have peace knowing that His plans are always better than my own.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing details about our final closing - including a sale and important dates.

My hope is that we can celebrate everything Dusty Pages has been and give this little bookstore the goodbye it deserves.

To everyone who has been here from the beginning—or even if you just found us recently—thank you. Thank you for believing in a small business, for trusting me with your fictional cowboys, and for being part of something I’ll always cherish.

Dusty Pages may be closing, but this isn’t the end of my story. I truly believe God is writing a new chapter, and when the time is right, I can’t wait to share it with you.

Thank you for being part of this dream. It has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

kelsey

THE STORY BEHIND

The Dusty Pages Bookshop

Dusty Pages was created from my love of cowboy romances, vintage soul, overflowing bookshelves, and creative chaos. With roots in Michigan, being raised in Texas, and now calling the foothills of East Tennessee home, I built Dusty Pages as a reflection of every place that has shaped me.

Dusty Pages is so much more than a hobby to me — it’s truly a passion. From carefully curated books to thoughtfully wrapped packages, I pour love and intention into every order. My hope is that when your package arrives, you can feel the care, personality, and community that Dusty Pages was built on.

More than anything, I hope you feel at home every time you receive a package from me. You all have made Dusty Pages what it is today, and I could never thank you enough for supporting this dream of mine.

xo,

Kelsey
